It is the time of the year again when many people think of changing their "evil ways." The holidays are over and regrets abound. We've been talking in this space lately about the failure of our lawyer-ridden, justice-absent criminal courts system, and a daily read of The Seattle Times shows nothing is getting better. People keep talking about wanting fair but tough laws but instead we get deals between judges and attorneys, non-violent junkies doing time, and violent thugs revolving back out onto our streets at a frantic pace-keep those attorneys busy making Porsche money.
I am writing in response to the principal reassignments and concerns that I have regarding the overall policy, the implementation, the goals behind the reassignments, the process for selecting new principals and the effect on the school communities.
