SDOT has new, more intense plans to 'take winter by storm'

While the holiday season comes to a close, winter weather is still in full swing. And this year, Seattle Department of Transportation has a new approach to snow.

SquattersA man came home from his vacation home on Whidbey Island at 9 p.m., Dec. 27, to find his basement door open. His house is located on West Prospect Street. The basement door leads to the laundry room, and the laundry room door was open to the rest of the house. He called 9-1-1 as those doors are never left open.

Skills evaluations for players participating in the AAA or Majors baseball divisions will be held on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 6, 7, at field No. 2 just south of Monger Pool. Players for these divisions must be registered by Jan. 31.
