Employee gone crazyThe manager of a grocery store in the 1600 block of West Dravus Street was called to the front of the store at 5 a.m., Nov. 23 because an employee was causing a scene. A witness told the manager the employee had been verbally abusing one of the checkers and was throwing food around the store.

Burning CarOn Dec. 1, an officer responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle parked in the middle of a park located on the 2800 block of First Avenue West at 6:36 a.m. When the officer arrived he noticed smoke coming from inside the car. He opened the door and saw that the vehicle was filled with smoke.There was nobody inside the car. The officer notified the Seattle Fire Department. The fire department responded, putting out the fire. Firefighters determined the fire was set intentionally. The vehicle was impounded and a hold was put in place for further investigation.
