Jason Ho gets a kick out of running the Kentucky Derby game at the Fun Forest. "It's a great place," he said. "People like to come down here with their kids and have fun." But Ho definitely isn't looking forward to the planned closure of an attraction that's been at the Seattle Center for more than four decades. "I think it's just going to be really bad," he said.

Since I don't really like to cook, I have to fill my love for food in some unique ways. One of them is to go shopping with my fiancée - who does like to cook - and indulge my senses in all the raw ingredients of a meal. Please mark your calendars: July 7 - the 22nd annual Crown of Queen Anne Fun Run/Walk. This fundraiser needs your help. You want to buy the latest fashion, but you back away because of your age, or your height or weight, fearing you will look foolish. You see an event that interests you, possibly a concert, but it's a young people's event, and you think you'll feel out of place. If you're a younger person, it might be something that you think only old people are likely to attend, so you opt out.
God, if He or She exists, is an ironist, and maybe, I fear after 30 years as a reporter, a sometime sadist. The irony is implicit in our daily lives. How many times have I, in just three years, told a playing partner after a good golf shot how good I'm getting, and then within seconds lost a ball to the train tracks below Interbay's sixth and seventh holes? It's the same with column writing. Just two weeks after I gave the Seattle Police Department an attaboy for their relative efficiency (compared with the Cincinnati Police Department), all hell breaks loose.<br
