Zaslove's 'Poisoning Pigeons' runs through Aug. 11

The Hit & Run Theater Company, founded by Queen Anne director Arne Zaslove, is presenting one last weekend of “Poisoning Pigeons on the Park: The Relevant, Radical & Risque Songs of Tom Lehrer,” on Thursday, Aug. 8, through Sunday, Aug. 11.

The shows — 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, and 2 p.m. on Sunday — will take place West of Lenin (203 N. 36th St.) in Fremont.

Zaslove will stage more than 20 of Lehrer’s most popular songs in various venues in the Seattle area through his theater company. This production includes four singers, composer and musical director John Engerman at keyboard and special guest Mike King, noted local appellate lawyer, who happens to know all the songs by heart.
