Yes on Mercer fix

I am in favor of the current plan to clean up the Mercer Mess, and I want to thank you for printing my letter in support of two-way Mercer some months ago.  I was disappointed that your Oct. 15 issue gave front-page emphasis to State Representative Dickerson's opposition to the project at the Oct. 6 City Hall forum, while burying on page 8 that same forum's  decisive poll in favor of the project.  I attended the Oct. 6 meeting to say that Seattle can have two-way Mercer and pedestrian and bike improvements by simply establishing reasonable priorities.  For example, the 145 million dollars which the Council is asking to augment our present 430 parks would go a long way toward sidewalks and bike paths. I suggest that the Dickerson headline with the subheading "Project Still Doable," which you consigned to page 8, would have given better balance to Mr. Zabel's story.
