The woman is recovering at Harborview Medical Center, the Seattle Police Department reports.
When she arrived at the hospital, the victim went directly into surgery. The report states that her injuries do not seem life-threatening.
The woman was standing on the street talking to the owner of a Ford Focus when a Chrysler 300 passed, shooting her and the Focus.
Seattle PD believes there may be a connection between the Ford Focus occupants and the shooter. They do not think the shooting was random.
Officers later found the Chrysler abandoned in Lake City. They impounded the vehicle for evidence.
