One of our esteemed Magnolia residents took a "joy ride" Sunday evening along the sidewalk on the north side of McGraw, starting out in the vicinity of the Carnolia cleaners and exiting just past the Gim Wah restaurant.
The only casualty in this endeavor was a bench outside the El Ranchon Café. However, there were some surprised diners, startled by the bang and the sight of a large black Hummer cruising by the window.
The driver proceeded to turn around, parked the vehicle and came over to the "Ranch" to make amends (the guy was in no pain), and was greeted by a couple of irate customers with some "slightly discourteous" remarks regarding his condition.
In any event, the encounter was over quickly and the individual drove away. Made for an interesting dining experience.
