Water safety is key

The American Red Cross is strongly urging people to be prepared this summer when around the water.

They are advising people to learn to swim and swim well, never leave small children unattended near any body of water, keep lifesaving gear handy, know when it's too dangerous, eliminate temptation by securing personal swimming pools from children, know what you're getting into by checking the weather and refraining from drinking alcohol while swimming or boating.

Now read them again and memorize them. It's important!
