Third public meeting re: Wales Park

Seattle Parks and Recreation
will host the third meeting on the Thomas C. Wales Park (formerly
Dexter Pit Park) development project on Tuesday, Jan. 8, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Queen Anne Community Center. At this meeting the public is invited to review design development drawings for the park project.

This project develops a 1.3-acre site into a neighborhood park with a major art element by Andy Cao. The property was used until 1987 as a gravel pit and material storage site for the city.

Address for the meeting is 1901 First Ave. W.

For more information, contact Parks project planner Patrick Donohue, 684-9286 or patrick.donohue@seattle.gov, or visithttp://www.seattle.gov/parks/ProParks/projects/wales.htm

Following the Parks and Rec meeting, the Queen Anne Community Council Parks Committee will hold its regular monthly session in the same venue.
