The 64th Annual Veterans Day service will be held at the Veterans Memorial Cemetary in Evergreen Washelli Memorial Park (11111 Aurora Ave N.) on Monday, Nov. 11 at 11 a.m.
At 7 a.m. a flag will be placed on the each of the white marble upright makers. At 10:30 a.m. Around the Sounds Community Band will provide music. The service will begin after that. SSGT Ty M. Carter, Medal of Honor recipient will be the keynote speaker for the event. Maj Edward Fackler will give the inovocation and benediction and Maria Kesovija will sing the National Anthem. SSGT Dannielle Ritacco will play "Taps" at the conclusion of the ceremony and Joint Base Lewis-McCord gurad will give the rifle salute. Cub, Boy and Girl Scout troops will be helping with the event.
