Thanks for helping to make the holidays brighter!

This year's Operation Santa was an unprecedented success thanks to several dozen volunteers including members of the Church of Scientology, Ingallina's Box Lunch staff, Seattle Jaycees and others who volunteered their time Saturday, Dec. 15, to answer more than 500 children's letters to Santa.

"Requests from the kids ranged from having 'peace in the world' to Hannah Montana dolls and flat-screen TV's," said Ann Pearce, organizer of the event. One tot told Santa, "You are the best guy in the world." Another promised to leave cookies and milk and carrots for the reindeer. Still another asked Santa to "give people homes if they don't have one," while another fervently told Santa, "I believe in you."

Thanks to all the volunteers who believe, and give of their time.
