Studio East will hold auditions on October 7 and 8 for its annual holiday production of "'Twas the Night..."
This will be the fifth year that Studio East has presented this hilarious spin on the familiar Christmas poem. There are roles for 38 actors ages 12 through adult and roles for 12 actors ages 7 through 11. Individual auditions are by appointment only. Rehearsals begin the week of October 17; performances run from November 26 through December 18. This is a Studio East youth theater production - there is a tuition cost for students in the production. Some scholarship funding is available.
Much Ado in October
The first youth theater production at Studio East this season will be Shakespeare's classic comedy, "Much Ado About Nothing." This production opens October 14 and runs through October 23, with performances on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday matinees are at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $9 to $11.
StoryBook season tickets
Season tickets are now on sale for the 2005-06 season of StoryBook Theater. This season, StoryBook will present "The Ugly Duckling," "Sleeping Beauty" and "Rumplestiltskin." Performances will be at Kirkland Performance Center, the Renton IKEA Performing Arts Center, the Everett PUD Auditorium and Seattle's Museum of History & Industry (MOHAI).
These shows are designed for very young audiences - ages 3-9 - and the whole family.
