Stella "Bernice" Hartman was born on October 22, 1916 in DeGraff, Minnesota. Shewas the first child and only daughter of Ole and Clara Hilleren. She had three younger brothers: Wilfred, Ralph and Kenneth. Bernice taught elementary school in Minnesota for eight years before moving to Tacoma, Washington. In 1948 she married Jerald Hartman of Auburn and they moved to Queen Anne where Bernice lived until September 2009. Bernice was an active member of Queen Anne Lutheran Church for 60 years. Bernice is survived bydaughter Shelley, granddaughter Alexa and grandson Nicholas. Memorials maybe made in Bernice's name to Queen Anne Lutheran Church or the Alzheimer's Association.[[In-content Ad]]
