The Seattle Pacific University Falcon’s men’s soccer team’s first home action is Sept. 7 against Dixie State, the first of four straight Interbay Stadium contests. SPU hosts Grand Canyon on Sept. 10 to close out the non-conference portion of the schedule.
The Great Northwest Athletic Conference slate begins against the league’s newest members. SPU entertains Sioux Falls on Sept. 13 and Mary on Sept. 15. The addition of those schools forms an eight-team men’s soccer conference.
The Falcons finished second in the 2011 GNAC standings behind Simon Fraser, which held the top spot in the national rankings last year. The Clan visits Seattle on Oct. 27 and then SPU hosts Saint Martin’s on Nov. 3 to conclude the regular season.
Tickets for Seattle Pacific soccer games can be purchased at Interbay Stadium (302717th Ave. W., Seattle 98119) on game day. Ticket windows open one hour prior to kickoff. All seats are general admission, priced at $6 for adults and $3 for students and senior citizens. SPU students and staff are admitted free with ID.

The SPU men are seeking a return trip to the NCAA Division II Tournament. They compiled a 14-4-2 record in 2011 and participated in the playoffs for the first time since 2006.
The Falcons return eight starters from last season’s squad that advanced to the West Regional championship game. Heading the list of returnees are first-team All-America defender Jon Pearman and honorable mention goalkeeper selection Zach Johnson
The SPU men’s team is ranked number 11, and the women’s team number 19 in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America preseason national rankings.
