South End land use: public hearing for Rainier Vista subdivision set for June 12

PERMIT DECISIONS

■ 5117 13th Ave. S. (3005813) on a Land Use Application for an expansion for a new gymnasium to an existing institution (St. George Parish School). Two additional parking spaces added.

■ 1601 S. State St. (3004419) on a Land Use Application to allow two four-unit townhouse structures (for a total of eight units) in an environmentally critical area. Parking for eight vehicles will be located in attached garages.

The hearing examiner must receive appeals of the above decisions no later than May 24.


OPEN-RECORD HEARING

■ 4500 Martin Luther King Jr. Way S. (3005261) on the DPD director's recommendation to conditionally approve an alteration of subdivision (approved under Project No. 2000638) to blocks 27 through 54 (east side of Martin Luther King Jr. Way S.) of the New Rainier Vista plat. The application includes revisions to lot lines, easements and plat conditions (regarding Boys & Girls Club location). The project also includes street and alley vacations.

The hearing examiner has scheduled a public hearing on the application for preliminary approval of the subdivision, for June 12 at 9 a.m. at the Office of the Hearing Examiner.

Written comments may be submitted through June 12 to Office of Hearing Examiner, P.O. Box 94729, Seattle, WA 98124-4729. Those persons who want to receive a copy of the hearing examiner's recommendation should specify that request in their comment letter.

Any person significantly interested in or affected by the proposed subdivision may request further consideration of the Director's recommendation and may appeal the director's substantive environmental determination. Requests for further consideration and appeals must be submitted to the Hearing Examiner by May 24.
