Sound Transit gathers input for regional transit expansion

Community members can give their input on Seattle's transit future in Sound Transit's Long-Range Plan update.

As the city is expected to grow by 30 percent in the next two decades, it's important for transit options to keep up with the expanding population. The Long-Range Plan includes plans for how the system should grow. The plan will consider: Which coorirdors should be priority for future light rail extensions? Which cooridors should have high-capacity transit and buses? Should our region invest in a commuter rail system? Where should parking and access for pedestrians and cyclists go?

The Long-Range Plan is in its first phase -- called scoping. The public and local government agencies have a chance to give feedback during the scoping period.

You can provide your feedback through Nov. 25 in person at a public meeting or online: www.soundtransit.org/LongRangePlan
