Shoo, Angels, shoo!

Thank you for your excellent points against the Blue Angels [Aug. 6 editorial "Stick fork in the Angels, they're done"]. I work in the Green Lake area where only the visuals alert one to this "display." I come home to my cats, who, I know from being here sometimes, have been scared undeservedly.

Your concern for the immigrant community is well put, and I wonder if it is our lot, as the under-served voice, that frequent complaints go nowhere.

I spoke with Sally Clark (the only member of the City Council to return my calls about Seafair) who told me that, since it is a privately funded event, the city has no voice.

Why is it that a few years ago the Angels were banned due to safety issues? They were back the next year. What changed?
