SCT's Hartzell receives Medallion Award

Seattle Children’s Theatre’s (SCT) artistic director Linda Hartzell has been named a recipient of the 2013 Orlin Corey Medallion Award, presented by Children’s Theatre Foundation of America (CTFA). Hartzell will receive the award alongside two other honorees at the One Theatre World Festival in Cleveland in May 2013.

An annual honor since 1992, CTFA recognizes achievements contributing to the cultural enrichment of children and youths through artistic work in theater.
During Hartzell’s tenure, SCT has become one of the top 20 regional theatres in the country. With the March 22 opening of Hartzell’s latest world premiere, “Adventures with Spot,” for which she was co-creator, she has directed 44 world premieres and more than 60 productions throughout 29 seasons as SCT’s artistic director.[[In-content Ad]]
