Penny Scordas' second-grade class sang 'Hello, Goodbye' at the official goodbye party on June 16 for Viewlands Elementary School, 10525 Third Ave. N.W. The school closed at the end of the school year as part of the school district's consolidation plans.
Special guests included J.P. Patches (at right, visiting with student Scarlet Day) and alumni Dino Rossi, former state senator and gubernatorial candidate, and U.S. Rep. Jay Inslee, who attended first grade at Viewlands.
Generations of families who attended Viewlands signed the wall, including Bobby Overhus' family, who had three generations go to the school.
