Safeway donates $500K to Easter Seals

Safeway has announced a donation of $568,144.58 to Easter Seals Washington, the leading nonprofit provider of services for individuals with autism and other disabilities in Washington state.

Raised through an in-store campaign during April, the funds will support Easter Seals' statewide programs such as Workforce Development, Inclusive Child Development Services, and Recreation Therapy Services.

The presentation was made Tuesday, June 19, at the Safeway atop Queen Anne Hill at 2100 Queen Anne Ave. N.

Safeway is one of the leading employers of people with disabilities in the nation. The check presentation coincides with Easter Seals Washington's 60th anniversary serving people with disabilities.[[In-content Ad]]
