Ripe and ready at the Magnolia Farmers Market

More berries, cherries and other summer goodies are filling farmers' tables. Look for strawberries, raspberries, Rainier cherries, Bings, the season's first apricots and more - all supersweet and locally grown.

Loki Fish is bringing fresh wild salmon to market over the next few weeks. Whole fish and filets. Coho, sockeye and keta. Excellent prices.

Also look for early summer squash, hothouse cucumbers and tomatoes, radishes, snap peas, all kinds of lettuces and greens, fresh herbs, asparagus, baby French turnips, garlic tops, farmstead cheeses, unique baked goods and gorgeous flower bouquets.

This week, Angela Reed serves up a program of acoustic rock/pop/folk and Chef Michelle Silver does a cooking demo at 11 a.m.

The market takes place every Saturday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in the parking lot in front of Magnolia Community Center, 2550 34th Ave. W. Get details at www.seattlefarmersmarkets.org
