Richard Carroll Kane

A man of great character

Richard Carroll Kane died peacefully May 15, of a pneumonia complication following a heart attack. He was 74.
Mr. Kane is survived by his son, Patrick Clark of Lower Lake, Calif., (mother, Eileen Clark) and his daughters, Megan (Eric) Freeman and Molly (Joe) Ashton both of Tacoma, Wash. (mother, Judy Kane). Mr. Kane had three grandchildren, Lucy, Hunter and Amy.
Mr. Kane is also survived by his siblings, Tom (Marge) Frank, John, Mary and Carolyn (James) Hambidge. He is predeceased by his parents, Charles and Effie, and his brother, Donald.
Mr. Kane was born in Grand Forks, N.D., On Sept. 21, 1935 and moved with his family to the Queen Anne neighborhood of Seattle in 1942. He graduated from St Anne Grade School, Queen Anne High School and Seattle University as an army officer having been in ROTC.
He enjoyed working independently, visiting his customers and friends at their sites and facilities routinely. Everyone will agree that Mr. Kane was quite a character and the essential salesman. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, June 18, at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, 700 W. Raye St., and will be followed by a no-host gathering at Via Tribunali.[[In-content Ad]]
