A convicted sex offender living at the 20 block of West Galer Street has been arrested again by Seattle Police and charged with sexual exploitation of a child.
John Richard Cothern, 43, was booked by Seattle Police July 13 and sent to King County Jail where he is being held on $750,000 bail, according to Sgt. John Urquhart of the King County Sheriff's department.
This was Cothern's second known offense. In November of 1996, he was arrested and charged with possession of depictions of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
Cothern is one of 161 sexual predators living within a two-mile radius of Queen Anne, according to King County Sheriff figures. The News will be following up on Cothern's case.[[In-content Ad]]
