Queen Anne, Magnolia residents invited to discuss local issues with state lawmaker

Residents of Queen Anne and Magnolia are invited to attend a small, casual neighborhood meeting with state Rep. Reuven Carlyle (D-Queen Anne) on Sunday, Nov. 8.

Carlyle will meet at Magnolia's Serendipity Cafe from 8-9:30 a.m. (3222 W. McGraw St. and at Queen Anne's Top Pot Doughnuts (325 W. Galer St. from 10-11:30 a.m. Constituents can share their thoughts, questions, criticisms and ideas about state and local issues with Carlyle and each other over coffee. He hopes to touch on the economy, transportation, education, health care, technology and more.

The Queen Anne and Magnolia events are the latest in a series of coffee hours moving from neighborhood to neighborhood within the 36th District throughout the year. Carlyle has hosted other recent events in Ballard and Phinney Ridge.

Carlyle represents the 36th Legislative District-encompassing Belltown, Ballard, Queen Anne, Magnolia, Interbay, Crown Hill, Phinney Ridge, Blue Ridge and Fremont-in the Washington State House of Representatives. The next legislative session begins on Jan. 11, 2010.
