Art by third, fourth and fifth graders at John Hay Elementary School is now on display in the lobby of the West Precinct of the Seattle Police Dept. at 810 Virginia St.
Art instructor Shellwyn Badger learned the police were looking for art and volunteered. The artwork is done in interdisciplinary Japanese styles of weavings, Sumi-E and symbol collages. Badger is teaching a unit of the artform to each grade.[[In-content Ad]]
