"Joy, Peace & Harmony," a concert dedicated to the late Daniel Pearl, will be offered at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, at the Shorecrest Performing Arts Center. Participating are the Seattle Civic Band, Rain City Women's Chorus, Seattle Peace Chorus and peace commentator Jack Tingstad.
Pearl was the Wall Street Journal reporter kidnapped in Pakistan in 2002 by radical Islamists and subsequently slaughtered by them. His family and friends have seen fit to honor his memory by fostering a program of music and dialogue to encourage harmony for humanity and change hearts and minds.
Admission to this concert is free or by personal-choice donation. The venue is at 15343 25th Ave. N.E. in Shoreline.
