Kathryn Patricia "Pat" Korda passed away July 4, at the Norse Home at the age of 90. She was born July 23, 1917 in Buhl, Minn. to Edward and Emma Murphy. She graduated from Hibbing High School in 1935 and received her teaching, home economics and science degree from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minn. She married Louis Korda in Morgan Park, Minn. in 1946 and moved to Seattle, living on Queen Anne Hill for 55 years.
Ms. Korda spent her last six years at the Norse Home where she received loving, tender care from the entire staff. She is preceded in death by her sister, Mary Jean, and her husband, Louis. She is survived by two daughters, Barbara (Rick), and Jean (Mark); two grandchildren, Shawn (Andra) and Brandi, and two great grandchildren Kaitlyn and Cole. All who loved her will miss Ms. Korda's warm smile and mischievous sense of humor. Remembrances are suggested to the Norse Home, Activity Fund, 5311 Phinney Ave N., Seattle, WA 98103.
