"The Second Time Around" is just the beginning of the Queen Anne Helpline's spring fundraising events. Lots of wonderful items will be making their "second time around" at the Annual Fundraising Sale on April 12 through 14 at the Queen Anne Masonic Temple.
Collectibles, new and used items of every description, are needed. Do your old wine glasses need a new home? Is that record collection still gathering dust in the basement? Picture frames, sports equipment, books, dishes, everything except clothing could find a new home in this sale! (No clothing items for this sale, please.)
Donations may be brought to the Helpline Office, 311 W. McGraw St., Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Questions? Call 282-1540 during office hours or leave a message.
But that's not all! Those clean, professional or work-clothing items that won't get another turn at the Fundraising Sale can have a chance at The Second Time Around fashion show and luncheon put on by the Greater Queen Anne Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, June 21.
Professional and work clothing (both men's and women's) will be modeled by some of the Chamber's officers and members and other Queen Anne figures. There may be just a few surprises in the wardrobes! Start looking through your closets now. Bring in that skirt that is a little snug, the suit you have grown tired of, the blouse that is just the wrong color or those shoes that are a little tight.
Donations may be left at the Helpline Office; Video Isle, 2213 Queen Anne Ave. N.; HomeStreet Bank, 1835 Queen Anne Ave. N.; or the Greater Queen Anne Chamber of Commerce Office, at 157 Roy St.
