The Seattle City Council has approved $70,000 for the creation of a dog off-leash area in Kinnear Park in Queen Anne. But dog advocates want the location moved.
Dog Off-Leash Advocates, or DOLA, a grass roots organization, helped convince the city to allocate funds from Proposition 2, or the Seattle Parks and Green Spaces levy, for an off-leash area in Queen Anne and Magnolia. In Magnolia, the preferred location is Magnolia Manor Park and Kinnear Park was selected for Queen Anne. But DOLA wants to find another, more suitable location. It is hosting a meeting to get public comment, 7 p.m., Tuesday Oct. 21 in Room 1 of the Queen Anne Community Center at 1901 First Ave. W.[[In-content Ad]]
