CREPES TSUNAMI
Cub Scout Packs 70 and 72 worked together with Boy Scout Troop 70 to put on a Pancake Hospitality Breakfast to raise money for tsunami relief.

The breakfast took place Sunday, March 6, after the regular service at the Queen Anne United Methodist Church, 1606 Fifth Ave. W. The Fellowship Hall was filled for the event, and $281 in donations were raised for the United Methodist Committee on Relief, which provides humanitarian relief worldwide.

The Scouts also viewed the event as a way to thank church members for their long standing support of Scouting. Queen Anne United Methodist has sponsored Troop 70 Boy Scouts for 80 years, and Pack 70 Cub Scouts for 65 years.

QA BOOKS HOSTS COE BOOK FAIR
This Sunday presents an excellent opportunity to support two community institutions at one stroke and get something in the bargain. If you drop in to Queen Anne Books, 1811 Queen Anne Ave. N., any time from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., you can pick up a good read and help the Coe Elementary School library at the same time. Twenty percent of the proceeds from all book purchases will be donated to the Coe library.

Of course, if you'd like to go the extra mile and buy books directly for the school library, that impulse will be accommodated.[[In-content Ad]]
