FREMONT - The Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) will once again close the Fremont Bridge to all motor vehicles, pedestrians and bicyclists while crews upgrade the bridge's electrical and mechanical systems.
The bridge is scheduled to close 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night through Sunday, June 22.
The SDOT will provide a shuttle service for pedestrians and bicyclists from 9 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. between the ends of the bridge (from about North 34th Street and Fremont Avenue North to about West Nickerson Street and Fourth Avenue North).
The shuttle will make its rounds every 20 to 30 minutes; signs will mark the pickup and drop-off locations.
Marine traffic is not affected during these closures, but Metro Transit will reroute its buses (go to transit.metrokc.gov or call 553-3000 for more information).[[In-content Ad]]
