Madison Park
The council wants a Seattle Department of Transportation sign for Madison Park to distinguish the neighborhood from Madison Valley.
Police are monitoring the late-night noise coming from Madison Beach.
A fence proposed to surround Triangle Park will cost $5,000 for a simple design. It also was suggested that a median lined with vegetation and trees be placed down the middle of Madison Street.
Madison Valley
The council is seeking volunteers to serve as officers (president, vice president, treasurer and secretary) for next year.
The proposal for a pedestrian and bike tunnel under East Madison Street that would end at the Washington Park Playfield was discussed.
Madrona
A resident suggested improving traffic flow and safety by limiting on-street parking in Madrona, particularly at 34th Avenue and East Union Street, Fullerton Avenue between Lake Washington Boulevard and Randolph Place and East Pike Street between 35th and 37th avenues. The council didn't take a position on this proposal but advised the resident to seek input from affected neighbors and the city.
The council reminded residents that they are responsible for maintaining sidewalks damaged by street trees unless the city planted the tree.[[In-content Ad]]
