Metro modifies plan for bus route changes

But impact is unclear for Magnolia and Queen Anne

King County Metro is giving concerned residents another chance to air their grievances over plans to change many bus routes around Seattle, including various routes in Magnolia and Queen Anne.

Metro has also announced modifications to the original changes announced earlier this year.

Interested citizens can attend a scheduled public hearing of the King County Council’s Transportation, Economy and Environment Committeeon Monday, Apr. 16. The meeting will run from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Sound Transit’s Board Room at Union Station (401 S. Jackson Street, Seattle). Members of the public are welcome to attend the meeting and to testify concerning the recommended service changes. There will be an open house at 6 p.m., presentation at 6:30 p.m., and opportunity to provide public testimony at 7 p.m. People can also submit comments to the King County Council email address for this topic at testimony@kingcounty.gov .
