Mercer Corridor Project lane restrictions through August

The Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) advises travelers of construction activities in the Mercer Corridor Project area:

Continuing through late July:

 

•Nighttime lane restrictions on Fairview Avenue North

 

Previously announced nighttime lane restrictions on Fairview Avenue Northhave been extended through late July to accommodate a water main installationacross Fairview Avenue N near Valley Street.  Travelers can expect: 

•Intermittent closures of one northbound turn lane from the Mercer Street I-5off-ramps onto Fairview Avenue North. 

•North and southbound Fairview Avenue N traffic routed around the closurenear Valley Street.

•Intermittent closures of Valley Street between Fairview Avenue N and MinorAvenue N.

•Night work between 7:30 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. 

 

Continuing through late August:

 

•Intermittent Mercer Street single lane closures

 

Previously announced single lane closures on Mercer Street between Eighth Avenue North and Fairview Avenue North have been extended through late August. These short-term closures are necessary to complete installation of new signal and street lighting infrastructure and installation of new landscaping on Mercer Street in preparation for opening 2-way Mercer Street in late summer or early fall. Closures will occur intermittently on weekdays during non-peak traffic hours, between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
