As spring eases toward summer, several noteworthy community events are on the horizon.

The Queen Anne Farmers Market opens 3-7 p.m., Thursday, June 18 at West Crockett Street and Queen Anne Avenue North. It'll be a regular Thursday event through Oct. 1. For the opening day event line-up go to www.qafma.org.

Meanwhile the Magnolia Farmers Market, next to the Magnolia Community Center, 2550 34th Ave. W., is underway. The Magnolia edition, which opened May 23, is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. event every Saturday through Oct. 10. Information: www.seattlefarmersmarkets.org/markets/magnolia.
