The city will have three open-house events to share information about improvements to Magnuson Park, as stated in the park's master plan.
The open-house events will take place in Building 406 (The Brig) at Magnuson Park on Nov. 17, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.; Nov. 19, from 5 to 7:30 p.m.; and Nov. 27, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. All presentations will include the same information.
Proposals includes a new indoor/outdoor tennis center north of Magnuson Community Center for Seattle Court Sports Unlimited and the renovation of Building 30's west wing for Sand Point Arts and Cultural Exchange's artists studios.
Seattle Parks and Recreation has already requested amendments to the Seattle Land Use Code for the Sand Point Overlay District and reestablished a driveway from Sand Point Way Northeast between Northeast 75th and 77th streets into the park.
