Magnolia Village Auto Show makes its donation to Northwest Harvest

This year’s Magnolia Village Auto Show resulted in a $1500 donation to Northwest Harvest, according to sponsor Eric Berge of Werner’s Crash Shop. The Aug. 18 show in the Village drew 70 cars, a little down from prior years because of a big auto show in Pebble Beach, Calif. on the same weekend. Berge said most likely next year’s event will be a week earlier to avoid a conflict. Despite that, “It was a good show,” Berge said, noting that the Farmer’s Market crowd, the Village crowd and the auto show crowd patronized village shops and restaurants. Berge, who pays out of pocket for signage, city licenses, posters and T-shirts, aims to bring a DJ to next year’s event to provide some auto and surfing tunes as a sound track to the annual event.
