Magnolia Scouts collect thousands of dollars in gifts for homeless teens

For the third year in a row more than 80 boys from Magnolia’s Cub Scout Pack 80 and their families collected thousands of dollars worth of essentials and gifts for homeless teens in King County. The gifts included warms coats, rain jackets, winter socks, flashlights, and First Aid kits. These gifts and were delivered to Friends of Youth in Redmond.
"The agency is incredibly thankful for the generosity of Magnolia Pack 80 scouts and their families,” said Phil Crocker, Board Chairman for Friends of Youth. “The gifts and essentials will go directly to teens who are struggling to find their way from homeless lives on the streets back into safe and secure situations."
Pack 80 is sponsored by Magnolia United Church of Christ and is one of the oldest scout packs in Washington. More information about the troop can be found at www.cubpack80.com.
