Magnolia resident Janene Drafs promoted at KOMO

Fisher Broadcasting Seattle has announced the promotion of KOMO-TV and KUNS-TV Vice President-General Sales Manager Janene Drafs to the position of Vice President-Station Manager, effective immediately.

Drafs, a University of Washington graduate, lives in Magnolia with her husband Steve Gahler and two young daughters.

Drafs will continue to be responsible for all sales activity for KOMO-TV and KUNS-TV as well as work closely with Fisher Seattle Broadcasting Senior Vice President-General Manager Jim Clayton in the managerial functions of all other departments .  
 “Janene has the expertise and track record to be an excellent station manager in this market,” Clayton noted. “She knows the landscape very well.”
 Drafs is a 25 year employee of Fisher Communications, where she began her career as a Sales Assistant.  She has also served as an Account Executive, Regional Marketing Executive for Business Development, Local Sales Manager, and most recently Vice President- General Sales Manager.  
 “This is a remarkable opportunity for me and I couldn’t be more honored. I’ve spent much of my career with Fisher Communications because I believe so deeply in our company and the good work we do,” she said.
