Magnolia Manor Park seeks public comments

The Magnolia Manor Park final  public meeting seeking the community’s feedback on the park's plan will be 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, June 8th at the Magnolia Presbyterian Church, at 28th and Dravus.

The park's plan is taking shape. It calls for the area's first P-patches, and dog off leash area; plus, open spaces, an orchard, a view plaza, amphitheater and park pathways that connect the park to other parks in the area, such as Lawton Park and Lawton playground. The plan also calls for and open up the park to its full potential size are all in the Final Preferred Site Plan.

This plan has been presented by Site Workshop, approved by the steering committee and is in the approval stage by The Seattle Parks Department. This is an important meeting, as the community input gathered to date will be revealed to the public for the first time in the Final Preferred Site Plan. At that meeting, the plan will be shown with discussion time and the Sustainable Magnolia Steering Committee will pass the torch to the newly formed Friends of Magnolia Manor Park Steering Committee (FMMP).

A second grant has been applied for by FMMP to move us closer on the path for realizing Magnolia Manor Park as a place of beauty, vibrancy and sustainability.  We cannot do it without you! Please plan to attend and participate in making Magnolia Manor Park! Questions call 284-2430.
