Porcelain Gallery owner Bert Lundh has scheduled a June 4 luncheon to honor Magnolia resident Helen Sommers, a Democrat who retired this year after serving 36 years as a 36th District Representative in the state legislature."I'm organizing the thing with a couple other Democrats," Lundh said of the tribute, which is scheduled to begin at 11:45 a.m. that Wednesday at Szmania's Restaurant, 3321 W. McGraw St.Around 40 people so far have said they'll attend the event, which will cost $29 per person, he said. The price includes tax and gratuity, and there is room for another 60 people or more, Lundh added.There's a choice of entrées for the luncheon.
