Lloyd Nordstrom Guild raises $12,500 for Children's Hospital

The Lloyd Nordstrom Guild held its annual Holiday Shoppe Nov. 17, at Our Lady of Fatima Social Hall in Magnolia and raised $12,500 for Children's Hospital.

More than two dozen vendors displayed their unique and beautiful selections of hand-crafted items available for sale. The event was attended by more than 300 people who enjoyed appetizers, desserts and beverages while shopping.

The Lloyd Nordstrom Guild, consisting of women from the Magnolia and Queen Anne Hill communities, raised $12,500, an all-time high.

The guild's Marybeth Alwood once again was the highest vendor donor. Alwood made an assortment of prepackaged candies, hot chocolate mixes and candied nuts. Her check to Children's Hospital was for more than $2,000 this year. Alwood donates all profits, after expenses, to the hospital.[[In-content Ad]]
