A rave to the owner of the Seattle Wood Fired Pizza truck on Elliott Avenue.
At 8 p.m. or so on March 10, I was headed home after several long days sitting with my husband in the hospital. I hadn’t eaten all day and just wanted something I didn’t have to cook.
The owner suggested a half-pizza, and I agreed. When it was ready, he handed me two boxes: a whole pizza and a freshly made salad for the price of the half-pizza. He said that would work for two dinners if I’d refrigerate the rest.
His concern and compassion outweighed the outstanding food.
