Lawton Elementary hosting Christmas Tree fundraiser

For the first time, Lawton Elementary School will host a Christmas Tree Fundraiser. Organized and hosted by Lawton's PTA, 100 percent of the purchases at the tree lot will benefit programs funded by the PTA.

Buyers will find a selection of Noble Firs, Fraser Firs, Grand Firs and Douglas firs. Prices start at $40 and go up depending on tree size. Apart from trees, shoppers can also enjoy hot cider.

The sale lasts for three weeks, starting Friday, Nov. 27, from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. The lot will be open Thursdays and Fridays from 5 - 8 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.

The trees will be set up in the Lawton parking lot at 4000 27th Ave. W.

In Queen Anne, the Boy Scouts Troop 72 and Queen Anne Helpline will have its annual tree lot, which also includes wreaths and garlands. Tree types include Noble Firs, Tannenbaums, Frasers, Douglas Firs and Norway Spruces. Proceeds benefit the QA Helpline and Troop 72.

The Safeway at 1908 Queen Anne Ave. N. hosts the lot, which opens Saturday, Nov. 28 and closed Sunday, Dec. 21. It's open from 12-8 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and from 12-9 p.m. Friday through Sunday.[[In-content Ad]]
