A proposed state construction budget released March 19 includes $11.7 million in funding for projects on the Eastside, including Kirkland. State Rep. Roger Goodman (D-45th District) serves on the House Capital Budget Committee, where the proposal was developed.
KIRKLAND FUNDING HIGHLIGHTS:
❚ $3 million for the Kirkland Totem Lake Mall and Business Center
❚ $2.7+ million for Lake Washington Technical College
❚ $950,000 - Kirkland Public Safety Campus
❚ $750,000 - Eastside emergency communication system (NORCOM)
❚ $500,000 - Juanita Beach Park redevelopment.
