Kirkland Performance Center's new summer concert series, Wednesday Night Live, is off and running. Building off the program created by Kirkland Downtown on the Lake, KPC has expanded beyond first Wednesday live music to offer laid-back summer entertainment four weeks a month.
Wednesday Night Live presents plenty of variety for adults to enjoy with live music and wine tastings and a chance for the audience to get involved on open mic comedy and Karaoke nights.

USAF band to give free concert
The United States Air Force Band of the Golden West presents a free concert as part of the Kirkland Centennial celebration on July 3, 3 p.m.
Conducted by Capt. R. Michael Mench, the band will feature vocalist Senior Airman Michelle Summers. Selections for the afternoon performance will include Aaron Copland's "Lincoln Portrait," narrated by Staff Sgt. Alton Randle, marches by Bagley, Fillmore and Sousa, and the Carmen Dragon arrangement of "America the Beautiful."
Opera Jupiter:
'A Midsummer Night's Cabaret'
Directed by Arne Zaslove, produced by Rudy Harper.
Opera Jupiter consists of a 10-piece band of all-star players. The cabaret features musical selections ranging from Beer Barrel Polka to Mein Herr Marquis to Prisoner of Love and partial (but tasteful and "arty") nudity.
July 22-23, 8 p.m., July 24, 7:30 p.m.
Adults: $20, Seniors $12, Youth $12.
*Not recommended for youths under 13.

All KPC tickets are subject to a $1 service fee. Senior prices apply to adults age 62 and older and youth prices apply to anyone age 25 and younger with valid ID.
