KING-FM to play Christmas music for holidays

Classical KING-FM 98.1, broadcasting from Queen Anne, will dedicate programming to the holidays, starting Friday, Nov. 29, through Dec. 25, by broadcasting and streaming online traditional Christmas music.

From Friday, Nov. 29 to Sunday, Dec. 1, KING-FM will present “Christmas Specials,” featuring the new KING-FM 2013 Christmas CD, with broadcasts from Northwest performing groups.

On Christmas Eve, beginning at 6 a.m. Dec. 24 through midnight Dec. 25, holiday music will play without break.

Other holiday broadcasts scheduled on KING-FM include Pacific Northwest Ballet’s orchestra performing “The Nutcracker” live, on Saturday, Nov. 30, at 7:30 p.m. On Christmas Eve, KING-FM will also feature a broadcast of the Northwest Boychoir with its 32-year tradition of singing “A Festival of Lessons & Carols.”

Additionally, the online Christmas Channel at KING.org will provide uninterrupted carols and traditional music from Friday, Nov. 29, to Dec. 25.
