Jim Fielder, age 68
10-1-43 – 12-9-11
Son of James Edward, Sr. and Marjorie Fielder. He died tragically in an accidental house fire on Queen Anne.
It is amazing at the vastness of Jim’s many friends who have responded (see Queen Anne View, internet).
Graduate of Queen Anne High 1961, Central Washington College graduate and ASB president. Taught at Newport High School and McClure Middle Schools.
Enthusiast of ornithology, animal behavior and environmental issues.
He started and ran Zig Zag River Rafters, one of Washington States first companies.
Then off to screen writer’s school in Los Angeles, worked for J. Paul Getty 111. He published true crime and short stores.
Survived by: Former wife M’Lissa Hayes and daughter. Closest cousins: Carolyn, Greg and Dean Overton – West Seattle, Mar, Krissy, Hayley & Lisa Hyde – Queen Anne. Also survived by cousins: Sally Cruikshank, Jan Herzog, Steve, Dave and Doug Probstfeld.
A memorial is scheduled for Saturday, January 21st at 1:00 pm at 1st Free Methodist Church, 3rd Ave. W. and W. Dravus St. (newer North bldg.) Fine bldg.. upper parking lot
