'Impossible' things happening at Juanita High

Juanita High School's drama department presents Rodgers and Hammerstein's beloved musical, "Cinderella," April 12, 13 at 7:30 p.m., and April 14 at 2 and 7:30 p.m.

Director Elizabeth McMurray-Hauk brings the enchantment alive with 78 costumes, multiple set changes, charming magical effects and just the right blend of humor and romance.

Student Directors Paulina Przystupa, Kaitlyn Hylands, Teysha Potter and Eric Fields work special effects, sound and lights throughout the show, while Amanda Hauk, Juanita 2003 grad and vocal coach, operates the background tracks for the production.

Familiar songs fill the theater from the market opening to the wedding finale, as the characters sing, gavotte and waltz through the scenes.

The cast is a delight with Angelina Traylor-Roscoe as Cinderella, Timothy Pavino as the prince, Priscilla Christ, Dani Dodge and Aidan Prell as the step family, Jordan Jackson as the herald, George Fisher and Vanessa Kichline as the king and queen and Elyse Waham as the fairy godmother.

The dancing and singing ensemble, with 18 Juanita students, fill the roles of townspeople, chefs, guests at the ball and eager young girls wishing the slipper would fit![[In-content Ad]]
